Soul stays in body but it doesn"t belong to world of the living. Something prevents the soul during the 3 days from soul out of body . Corpse brings death or misfortune among the living. Covers mirrors so we don"t make eye contact with the dead soul. Must cover eyes and weigh the eyes down. In village, but away from fields and living quarters. Don"t change clothes, dressed in what they were buried in. Wedding of the dead - incorporate wedding into funeral service. Red in the face or red all over. The folk made accurate observations but gave supernatural explanations.
