There will be an assigned reading quiz next week (watch a video, answer questions) The scienti c method sounds like the design process; it"s an in nite circle, not a straight line. Humans are a relatively new species on earth. It took us 200,000 years to hit a billion people on earth, but 130 years later we hit 2 billion, then 3 billion 30 years later, and so on. As a result, we try to explain our surroundings. We can try to address those questions with religion (based on faith) and science (based on testable hypothesis) They did not know that the earth is a planet. They did not know how heavenly bodies move. We changed the de nition of a planet, which is why pluto used to be one and now isn"t. It"s something, like a body or whatever, that orbits a star like our sun.
