Enormous cognitive capability we do have capacity to actually think about this / make a choice. Not an answer, nobody you can ask. Your responsibility to critically evaluate things and carefully + critically choose which way to go, knowing that you can"t actually know the very, very best way to proceed. My responsibility to look at you and see another human being if i make choices that violate your capacity to critically evaluate/ make conscious choices; i am violating my own humanity. What happens is alienation from your own humanity and from other people/society.
