In this lab we will be working with the humor scores that we worked with in class previously. Input the data in spss: ensure that the scale measurement category is set correctly. Run some descriptive stats: using the skills you learned in the previous spss labs, determine the following, mean, median, sd, variance, min score, max score. I. go to analyze > descriptives > explore. I. go to analyze > descriptives > frequencies > charts: create a histogram to examine the shape of our sample"s distribution of scores. Relatively normal most scores are around the middle and few towards the tails. Scores are more frequent towards the middle than the tails. Can argue a slight skew more of a concentration around end. The outlier would probably be around 37 below fourty -- try to take person 5 out of the data set. Input the appropriate formula for z scores: transform > compute new variable > name the target variable z_humor.
