Cause: most common in women with relaxed pelvic floor musculature (from delivery, use of instrumentation during vaginal delivery, or multiple pregnancies), structures of female urethra atrophy when estrogen , prostate surgery for bph or prostate cancer. Functional: loss of urine resulting from cognitive, functional, or environmental factors, older adults often have problems that affect balance and mobility (e. g. , severe arthritis), cognitive problems (dementia). Maybe asymptomatic, anal & mouth, yellow/green discharge, dysuria, may have systemic s/s. Small painful blisters, flu-like s/s, no cure, shred virus while asymptomatic. Small bumps, soft, skin colored discrete, cervical cancer related, no cure.
