Document Summary

Thomas paine was the author of the pamphlet, common sense that sparked independence to many americans. Paine showed himself as an amazing revolutionary propagandist. Paine showed that it was impossible to come in terms with the british. He wanted to show that britain was wrong and incite the anger to the root of the issue. He said that the king and the way that he rules was the blame for everything. He said that it is common sense for the americans to break away from such a corrupt and terrible monarch such as the king. The british brings the americans to wars which the americans have no reason to join. Paine said that the british had no more reason to watch over the americans. To many of the people this pamphlet is considered a revelation and a beginning. Thomas paine and his pamphlet would later bring the declaration of independence and the revolutionary war: thomas jefferson.
