Comparing brains is not taken into account, more variance between tasks, older people may not know how to use tech. Ex: compare you at 20 y/o and then you again at 80 y/o. Con; time. much slower to collect data. Pro: more accurate (we can hold more things in the world constant) Cognitive abilities decline (mental processing, memory, intelligence, etc) More serious: the brain is affected (frontal lobes shrink proportionally more than other brain regions)
