Focus is on details an individual must do to execute skill properly i. e. on one specific movement or position. More specific/precise than outcome goals and less dependent on others. Compare to yourself rather than others" performances. Want to set objective and process related goals. Facilitate short term motivation but can lead to anxiety before/during competition - focus is more on winning than how to win . All 3 goals play a role in changing behavior.
