Not completely a misogynist=> mrs. dalton has more power than mr. dalton and she"s also blind which is pretty significant. Mrs. dalton: could"ve been strong even though she was blind. They shift the attention to bigger being a rapist. Not very accurate but conforming to racial ideology of the time. These inaccurate racist portrayals are still present in media nowadays, but less blatant. Always been controlled, but after killing mary he has control over the white people. His social standing does not change, so he isn"t really free or in control.
