Dr. ford had an incredibly measured, albeit emotional tone. She is decidedly neutral, even though she names kavanaugh, she does not condemn him. Ford initially went to the washington post (and feinstein"s office) tip line to tell her story. Built trust with the reporter who wrote her story. Ford decided that she did not want to go public with her story, but senator feinstein"s office leaked the letter that ford had sent to her office previously. Blocking the nomination of kavanaugh was more important than protecting ford"s privacy. Ford"s intention was to prevent a nomination, but now she has to take part in a hearing to block his confirmation instead. Ford exposed the democrats by saying that she is here not because she wanted to be but because the media forced her to be. Reporters showed up at her house and at her workplace to ask her questions. She and her family have received threats and had to move out.
