Erebos + night (night became pregnant by erebos) = Aether (brightness) and day: the opposites of parents. Gaia: the ever-firm foundation of all mortals, the mother of all , eldest of gods, who nourishes all things in the world , embodies fertility for all things, the children of gaia.
