An organizations process is generally meant to fulfill two goals: deliver the customer promise : provide specific things for its customers better than any other business, create value for its stakeholders. Critical dimensions of a process: capacity, efficiency, effectiveness. Steady state: when an operating systems start up; initial conditions affect the status of process flows. After a while, when the system"s status no longer depends on initial conditions, it reaches steady. Bottleneck time is also equal to system cycle time. More workers = drop in cycle time. Types of quality: performance quality: delivers on performance dimensions, conformance quality: delivers on specifications regardless or performance.
