Manage respiratory/cardiac complications: activate ems system, assess vital signs until medical help arrives. For small superficial or partial-thickness burns to an extremity. If a minor burn, can apply cool compress. S/s: an odorless, colorless, tasteless, poisonous gas. Wood, paper, cotton: extremely difficult to detect. Cherry red skin this may be a late sign.
