A symbol is a learned stimulus that represents something else. Depends on the context in which it occurs. Elements of communication - 7cs: completeness, correctness, clarity, conciseness, courtesy, concreteness, consideration. We made our connection with the world through what we do, how we look, what we say and how we say it. Advances in information has brought tremendous change to communication. In america a common way of feedback is gestures, such and the ok hand sign in other countries these gestures mean very different things. This is also true with many other gestures. Communication is sharing who we are and what we know. We all share our ideas and feelings with others; however, how we share them with others varies from culture to culture.
