In 769 took on a war with aquitaine, that his father had began. In 773 he waged a war with lombards, bishop of rome asked for him to do this. He had cause to believe that his opposer would upset the peace of daily life. Franks seized from the huns, what the huns unjustly seized from other peoples. Increased the glory of his kingdom through diplomatic means: created friendships with many kingdoms. Built many remarkable churches throughout his empire.
