Document Summary

Consciousness: consciousness, our awareness of ourselves and our environments, human consciousness seems to be a product of. Our associational capacity to connect things. Our attentional capacity to focus on things. Our capacity for meaning & symbolism the ability to treat yourself as an object in the world: freud"s consciousness, says we can"t understand consciousness, without understanding unconsciousness. There are things that drive us, that we are not aware of. Most of what we express and drive our conscious mind, is driven by our unconscious: id, ego.
