BIOL 102 Lecture : Chem111_report_guidelines
Document Summary
While working in the lab, lab notebooks are used to record data, results, observations, Eventually there comes a time when this data should be shared with the broader scientific community. This can be done in the form of oral or poster presentations, but the main method of sharing data is through scientific journals. There are hundreds of different journals available, each specializing in a particular area or topic. American chemical society"s journal page, https://pubs. acs. org/ shows the wide scope of chemical research being published. These publications are not limited to chemistry, there are journals for physics, biology, medicine, health fields, humanities, and any other field you can possibly imagine. Writing formal publications and reports it a valuable and required skill for anyone in a scientific field. Over the next few weeks in chem 111, you will begin to learn the process of writing a formal report. Every other week, different sections of a formal report will be written and submitted.
