(set in stone, three major canons of the bible, jewish canon- hebrew bible, catholic canon-new testament, protestant canon- new testament, jewish canon- hebrew bible, set by rabbis in palestine ca. 100 ce: 24 books = 39 books total, ex. Samuel = 1 samuel & 2 samuel: ex. God"s language: the book is used by the majority of jews, the book should be divine revelation, the content has to accord with proper jewish faith & practice. The rabbis decide what the jewish faith & practice is: the catholic ot, set by the bishops & theologians in church councils, ca. The canon of the bible was the decision of humans. It did not come out of the sky.
