Melody: broad, sweeping themes, lyrical and expressive, build to a grandiose climax, phrases, longer, rhythmically flexible. Form: no new forms, extended existing forms. Pianist and violinists are the most common: wizard-like dexterity, often more showmanship than musical substance.
