Alcoholics, mentally disabled, people in a coma, physical deformities, etc. Could be killed, castrated, or put in asylums. Us did castrations and sterilizations on people with mental retardation, particularly in the south: halted because of public outcry, first victims of hitler. Europe under german rule: soviet union greatly despised nazis. Joseph stalin: comes to power after lenin"s death, relatively non-charismatic, came to power differently. Appeal to little people: peace and bread. Scapegoat capitalists and kulaks : ruthless dictator. Executed all of his rivals on the grounds of treason. Goal was to prove that communism was greater than capitalism. Industrialization of agriculture: sent all farmers to siberia because they didn"t follow his rules, widespread famine because of food shortages, industrialization didn"t work, some places were intentionally starved, like ukraine.
