PHYSICS 102 Lecture Notes - Lecture 16: Major Trauma, Risk Management, Control Risks
Document Summary
Risk is a negative outcome because it can provoke an injurie or a danger situation, positive outcome because can be an opportunity for a person or a firm and also uncertainty outcome. Risk management is the procedure to manage the risk reducing the impact or the variation of the outcomes. It is important to understand the uncontrolled level of all risks. This is the level of the risk before any actions have been taken to change the likelihood or magnitude of the risk: hazard is any source of potential damage, harm or adverse health effects on something or someone. Impact is the action of one object coming forcibly into contact with another. Hazard and impact are external factors that are connected to the likelihood, the percentage which can afflict the final performance. Instead, vulnerability is an internal factor that represent the quality of being exposed to the attack, either physically or emotionally.
