ECON 1 Lecture Notes - Lecture 13: Abnormal Return, Management, Dependent And Independent Variables
Document Summary
A review of antecedents of international strategic alliance performance: synthesize evidence and new directions for core constructors. The aim of the paper is to provide a review of empirical research on the antecedents of international strategic alliances (isa) performance, reviews constructs and finally presents a model that proposes links between constructs. Use a sample of 165 cross-sectional studies (both jvs and non-equity alliances) to identify the antecedents of isa performance. All articles that appeared in all peer-reviewed scholarly journals for which ebsco had bibliographic records, identifying all the articles that included at least 1 isa keyword and 1 performance keyword provided a fairly representative sample of the literature. Inclusion criteria included: article is empirical, published in a peer-reviewed journal, hypothesized and statistically tested relationships between at least one antecedent variable and at least 1 performance measure as dependent variable. Alliance performance defined as the net present value that partners obtain from participating in the alliance.
