I first took the key points from his informations such as the rapid change in the amount he was learning, decreasing expressive language, and the loss of his previously acquired skills. This search led me to a journal article about language aggression in children. This led me to confirm that sammy does have autism, his other behaviors such as the self-stimming and need for a repetitive schedule also fall into things that are common for people with autism to have. Three resources that i would give sammy"s family are: The autism speaks website is incredibly helpful for parents who are looking for advice on how to parent their child who has autism, provides support, and has lots of informations from other parents, doctors, ect.
