Furthest point that protrudes from the back of the horse. Tail- permanent hair used to swat against bugs. Point of hock- largest joint on the hind legs. Jugular groove- indentation of the lower portion of the neck, sits just above the windpipe. Point of shoulder- very end of the shoulder. Chestnut- where the legs were attached, callus formation- shed naturally.
