Sub vocally/out loud rehearsal of information from working memory(repeat to selves, may be silent) Also translates visual info to speech code: reading, picture naming. Trial 1: presented with 1 digit & asked to recall immediately. Most ppl succeed so trial 2 is harder. Trial 2: prese(cid:374)t 2 digits & ask to recall i(cid:373)(cid:373)ediately . Keep adding digits until unable to recall all digits.
