The french revolution had its effects in america. Although america declared neutrality, many citizens supported france and looked to help the french in any way they could. British ships were attacking american ones, which brought along jay"s treaty. The goal of which was to break apart the american-french alliance and bring the americans closer to the british. Mary wollstonecraft asked for greater access to education for women, in order for them to be able to teach their children better. Her works were published, leading to more and more women following her lead, hoping to have their ideas spread out and published.
