Public order crime: behavior that us outlawed because it threatens the general well being of society and challenges its accepted moral principles. Victimless crime: crime that violate the moral order but has no specific victim other than society as a whole. Social harm: the injury causes by other by willful, wrongful conduct. Moral entrepreneur: someone who creates rules which reflect the values of those in power, rather than any objective, universal standard of right & wrong. Paraphilia: deviant sexual practices that may involve nonhuman objects, humiliation, or children. Homosexuality was a diagnosable disease in the dsm until 1973. Sodomy laws have been unconstitutional since 2003. Over 20 state allow for gender & sexuality discrimination. Employment non-discrimination act (enda) has been proposed since 1994. Prostitution: the granting of non-marital sexual access for remuneration. Pornography: sexually explicit media intended to provide sexual arousal for customer. Obscenity: material that violates community standards of morality or decency & as no redeeming social value.
