September 4 2017: what bullets do to bodies is a profile of a trauma surgeon named dr. amy goldberg, it also examines how bullets can kill human flesh. The author describes the damage that has been done in an extreme degree. This would scare me to think someone could be in so much pain and not be able to react to it due to a hidden injury. This stays in my mind because my older brother was in a motorcycle accident. Goldberg discussion with another doctor are minor details but also extremely important to understand how a doctor thinks. We understand that dr. goldberg relies on her fellow doctors to confirm her thoughts: the particular image of doing something small can make a big impact. This is in the case of the author writing this story and with dr. goldberg. For the author, writing this story would not change the laws on guns.
