We tend to patrilian societies are male dominated, The males take the wealth, women get nothing. Sworn virgins are able in inherit wealth and make a living. Sometimes it is appointed by the parent or they decide by themselves. Some reason that they choose to be sworn is to be free, economic and sexual orientation. Biological males who dress like women and take on female gender roles/tasks. They cross dress, they behave as women (surgery, hormones, dress, act) But the do not recognize as women, only male.
