Symptoms of intrusion: a reoccurring of the event over and over again, re- experiencing(nightmares, flashbacks, imagery) Symptoms of avoidance: avoid feelings, thoughts, or reminders of the event. Symptoms of negative cognition and negative mood: feeling detached from others, anger outbursts, survival guilt thoughts. Symptoms of arousal and reactivity: excessive startle respond, decreased arousal, sleep deprivation.
