Law suits are hard, especially if it is civil because it takes a long time and it"s costly. 5% of the world population, but has 90% of the world"s litigation. Things are settled before or during or after trial. Distance between lie under oath and actual truth that happened. Most people when faced with fact allegations do nothing. Plaintiff v defendant: adversarial system opponent against opponent. Law suits ultimately begin with alleged facts. Law suits technically being when a plaintiff becomes a plaintiff. It happens when the plaintiff causes service of two documents to be made on the person becoming the defendant. Complaint: describes the law suit and why the defendant is being sued. Summons: stapled to the complaint, designed to tell the defendant what court he or she is being sued in. This is required as a matter of due process, if you don"t do it the law suit is not started properly.
