Existing organizations with issue-specific responsibility/mission (e. g. doh) Grants from public or private grant-making foundations/philanthropic organizations. Budget: an educated guess/estimate of the money you will need to implement your program. Gives us a sense of program priorities, resource-wise and resource-specific picture of program. Provides a sense of program integrity & value. Wide array often determined by funder and or dept. requirements. Can be very detailed re: forms and format. Model we are using is a basic start point: re: personnel, supplies, equipment, communications, office/work space, travel and indirect costs. Budget justification essential to explaining what is being costed out, why it is needed, and what the calculation issues are (ie: fringe benefits) In-kind resources useful to include indicate other sources of program commitment. Unless the program funding agency specifies otherwise or has required template/forms of their own, a basic format like the one we will use works-
