John harlow, md - frontal lobe/personality; spike when through his head and completely changed his personality; became moody and short-tempered. Nerve fibers grow out of cell bodies. Cutting a nerve fiber = retrograde degeneration. Nerves are made of autonomous individual cells. Golgi & cajal won the 1906 nobel prize in medicine.
