In president"s obama"s first speech the exigencies he presents are a weak economy, a war, a broken health care system, and a failing school system. He tries to inspire americans and lead them to believe that while the challenges faced may be difficult they can be overcome. He continues to highlight the benefits of being in the united. States and label the problems as minor weaknesses. The question leads the listener to expect the hope that obama is trying to inspire to lead to something meaningful. It creates the expectation that moving forward people who have been down in their luck will have their fortunes shifted. The second persona that obama presents is for all american citizens. He emphasizes that the only way to fix the problems that we have now is to come together.
