Full faith and credit clause: giving full faith and credit to one state to recognize another state, same sex marriage. If one state will recognize it as legal it should be recognized in other states as legal. Offer some consistency with what the constitution is saying. Supremacy clause: law derived from the u. s. constitution is the supreme law of the land. The constitution will prevail over conflicting state laws. Four fundamental freedoms: speech, assembly, religion, press, not absolute. Government must demonstrate a sufficiently compelling reason to justify interfering with fundamental rights.
