There is a small population of scientists and activists that strongly believe hiv and aids are. Lecture 2 notes unrelated; they are called aids dissidents or aids denialists. Some groups, as late as may and june 1999, ran ads in major papers stating that aids is not contagious, and hiv is harmless. Some believe that the anti-hiv drugs are the real problem. These groups have been dwindling in number as further hiv/aids research has directly addressed their concerns. Their point of view should be known and students as well as researchers should investigate their motives and evidence and make their own education decision: christine maggiore aids dissidents.
