● Film on the ‘Forgotten People’ in Asia Minor, the Bakhtari
● Recording migration from Angora that happens annually at least, migration in a train of
caravans across the desert
● Have shelters and refuges set up across the desert, established very long time ago
many made of stone
○ Caravan in search of forgotten people
● Magicians have dogs, also there are apparently some drastic shifts in terrain, hunting
done among the rocky kind
○ Hunt deer, other mammals
● Migration moves east, at one point meets up with another caravan
● Competition between men? Geared towards shooting and fighting, also traditional dance
with sticks
● At one point have to cross a river using a series of rafts, also some recreation goes on at
this point, have to hearn animals (sheep (or maybe goats), cows) across river as well as
transport supplies and such
○ Have to cross the river multiple times in order to reach destination, do this
because can only cross at the most shallow points
● After the river is the crossing of the mountains, tall and snowy, some of the men have to
pre-set up a trail through the snow for the everyone and the pack animals to follow
through
● After mountains reach destination ‘land of milk and honey’ a very large grassland, good
for pasturing animals
