Overtime, they become addicted, as they become addicted to the drug nicotine, which leads to increased activation of dopamine neurons. E-cigarettes are a new nicotine delivery system that has become increasingly popular in the u. s. It delivers the nicotine less harmfully (no carcinogens), and does not produce second hand smoke. At the same time, there is not enough scientific data regarding the safety of e-cigarettes.
