Document Summary

People with different worldviews and values can take the same information, examine it and come to completely different conclusions because different beliefs, ideas and values shape their attitudes toward nature. World view varies and mean people can view different things sustainable and some not. Not static, people can take attributes from the whole spectrum. Science and technology can be used to control nature. Nature must be exploited to meet human ends. Nature is a resource to be used (especially for profit), not protected. Nature is necessary for the accumulation of wealth (profit) and meeting economic goals. Human life and nature are a single entity, not separate. Nature has value for resources have value more than economic ends. This worldview was a reaction to the expansionists, wanting to protect nature. Earth and it"s living organisms are part of a single, self-regulation process. All parts of universe are interconnected and interacting.
