Parietal bone on the sides of the head (2) Temporal bone one on each side. Zygomatic bone more prominent in different races north western europeans. Maxilla upper jaw supports upper teeth. Vomer base & little posterior to cartilage of nose; cartilage attached to this bone. Ethmoid bone bone between eyes called a cranial bone because one of the 8 bones forming brain case above the sphenoid. Sphenoid bone articulates with frontal, parietal, & temporal bones.
