Chinese are the oldest and largest ethnic group of asia. They came to america for better opportunity like everyone else. Came to california and for california gold rush. They were received as yellow peril, with lots of discrimination and exclusion. Over the years they have opened many business within agriculture and restaurants. They are more likely to be employed in management positions. They are one of the largest subgroup, followed by indians, koreans, vietnamese, and japanese. And it got bigger because they did not take off on. After ww2 most woman came in as war brides, most of their husbands went to fight in the war. They were working in factories and big cities to meet american men. Then moved to america with their american husbands. They landed in america, france, scotland, canada, and mexico after ww2. They were received to do labor work in america. In 1850 something they took a lot of american jobs.
