While philosophers don"t explore personal history (your psychology) to justify morality, philosophers do explore moral psychology: asks: how do your feeling about god and evil come about. How cam we shape them so as to be consistent with morality: two reasons why philosophers might investigate moral psychology: Note: by subjective feeling , mill means personal feeling . Mill would say no because utilitarianism is right for everybody. Mill will also try to show that even our feeling that utility is good is universal and can be trained in the right way. Analogy: look at the products of reason such as a city, city is natural but not innate (p. beaner + dam) Unfortunately, many people only have a general wish for harmony but they co=operated only for selfish purposes.
