Document Summary

The idea you have a right to do whatever you want with your body. Right to freedom - unless it harms yourself or other people. People that support these technologies don"t think embryos are people. Medically: couple can"t conceive in the time span of one year. Supporters: believe it is a disease that should be taken at all lengths to treat. In favor if it"s only with two people with no third parties. In favor if it"s only for medically diagnosed infertile people. Sexuality, sexual intercourse, and procreation are inseparable. Infertility - seen as a punishment and couples should just accept that. Technophobic - some people see it as scary and encroaching to life. Congregation for the doctrine of the faith - watch dogs. Clarify what the pope and god thinks about certain aspects of life. Interesting to see a religious community workout reproductive technologies. Catholic church does not oppose technological advances.
