Drive theory: our biological needs make us drives to do stuff. Hunger is because our body trying to regain homeostasis. Leptin from fat tissue signal the hypothalamus that we must stop eating. Bmi is does not take into account muscle mass or body fat percentage. Gender difference: overweight people are less likely to hired and stronger for women. These people feel overweight and eat less, exercise more even if they are thin. Evolutionary psychology: study of evolution of behavior through natural selection. Women partners goal: age, financial, commitment, children, pets. Ability to provide for the children and family. Men partners goal: youth, cross-cultural beauty, smooth skin, hourglass shape (. 70 to hip ratio) ( natural birth) Evolutionary influence often works in an unconscious way.
