Name the pathos, and describe how it is working. Dr. king uses pathos by appealing to emotion. This is a really strong example of pathos because it really connects to the emotions of the reader especially people that have a strong love and connection with their family. There is also a high level of imagery mixed with pathos which makes the audience imagine being a member of. 2 the black community which can really change their outlook on them. Name the ethos, and describe how it is working. Although the passage doesn"t use ethos directly, an example of ethos would be when dr. King states as i continued to think about the matter i gradually gained a measure of satisfaction from the label. Dr. king"s references to powerful historical figures enhances his argument because he claims that he is one of them following their footsteps.
