Foundation of a marriage and romantic love. Husband and wife adhere to a traditional family. Men in work, women in homes sometimes called "specialization" model. Couples were satisfied with this marriage norm. Emphasis on self-development, flexible roles, and open communication. Women are still more in the house. Matters more today in how much you enjoy your job. Couple development still important, but much less so. Traditional roles of men and women became more flexible, individualized.
