According to giddens 2005:22 culture refers to the ways of life of the members of a society or of groups within the society. Bolton and hunt 1984:46-47 says culture is everything which is socially learned and shared by the members of the society, these could be the custom, beliefs and achievements of a particular group of people. Culture can be seen through language, dressing, tradition and other ways of behaviour, food is also determined by culture. Language reflects what a society regards as important and what is not important for e. g. some people care a lot about time, other people"s hug each other. In our african culture they must be space between for e. g. a mother in law and a son in law or father in law and daughter in law. Culture is an organised system of norms and values which people holds.
