Stage 3: good girl/good boy development- obey rules to get approve/make them like us. Stage 4: law and order orientation- obey laws because they maintains social order. Don"t rob store because we obey rules. Stage 5: social contract orientation- moral reasoning re ects the belief in democratically established laws. Morals are completed based on social order of society. Stage 6: universal ethics orientation- moral reasoning re ects individual conscience; let your conscience be your guide (gandhi) Depression and suicide rate is highest out of adolescence. Girls think of suicide but boys tend to commit suicide more.
