Receptor cells are easily activate (low threshold) i. ii. iii. Divide by mitosis to replace olfactory receptor cells d. Olfactory receptor cells i. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. Lots of long olfactory cilia in the mucus layer. Patterns of receptor activation give rise to different smell perceptions.
