Document Summary

The person we eliminate is the person who could be the love of our life. We are arti cial restricted in the term of made choice. While your society says don"t think about it - you think about it. Race: a category of people sharing physical characteristics that are socially signi cant. Ex: african- american blacks, caribbean blacks, african blacks. Racial homogamy: people marry someone just like them. ex: white marrying white. Social disapproval: parents will either embrace the person of another race or they will deny the person of another race. Social pressure: the older the person the more likely to cross social lines. Military marriage: you"ve lived in a different social context all your life and you are more color blind and used to that. You have more people to select from. We have only our ignorance to lose when we become involved with someone in another race. We begin to see people as humans and not race.
